History of the Club:

As it fits a true Sasquatch, the Portland sasquatch showed up inconsistently throughout the mid 90s and 00S. The club had some sightings here and there thanks to the efforts of individual players (Jerad Klingsporn, stephane Roux, Raphael Renault), but never found a true home. This changed in 2013 thanks to collaborations with neighborhood colleges PCC and PSU. In 2013 the PORTLAND SASQUATCH attempted to create their own tournament in Portland, with success! A couple of months later, they moved on to their first official tournament, The  Nationals. The portland sasquatch finished 9th and thus became the 9th best Team Handball club in the US. People were impressed with their cool jerseys, but also with their fast paced style of play (thx, Brad Dow!). 2014 Promised to become a great year for the Portland Sasquatch with 2 of their players practicing Full Time in the US National Team (Greg Inahara and EJ Udo-Udoma) and a whole lot of players excited for the new year....

In 2016, EJ managed to qualify with Beach Handball USA for the World Cup. However, the more important work was done  back in Portland, where we have been building steadily to create an open, friendly and continuing team with the addition of a Summer Team Handball Camp for kids, and the setting up of a women`s team. Team Handball Club PORTLAND SASQUATCH is hear to stay and not disappear anymore....In 2018 we decided to officially become the Portland Sasquatch Handball Club.
